When can I use my home?
Start with the certainty of a published calendar when you buy your home
Change your booking if you want to
The key to enjoying Shared Ownership is getting to use your home. Occupancy is shared amongst each of the Owners fairly, managed by Dransfield.
Dransfield creates an occupancy calendar to suit each individual location.
This starts with a fixed calendar for three years which is attached to the contract when you buy the home so that you know what you get! When the first year finishes a further year is added to the calendar once school holidays are published.
You select the calendar you want and those who move first will have more choices.
Typical rules for a 1/6th share include:
- 8 weeks minimum use.
- Two weeks of school holidays each year.
- Christmas, New Years or Easter week every two years, each every six years.
- A fair allocation of remaining weeks between shoulder and winter seasons.
Each owner can then decide if they want to exchange with other owners and Dransfield manage this process for you. For more details about Exchanging usage.
